"Lexi worked for us for almost a year to watch our 1.5/2 year old. During this time she was a live in nanny and worked for us full time. I would highly recommend Lexi to watch your children. It’s hard to find good, reliable child care and Lexi is a gem! She was always reliable and showed up on time. Lexi is very flexible and listened to input on what we needed for our son. She spent her time playing with him and teaching him, not on her phone. Lexi taught him both life skills and manners such as how to eat at a restaurant or pick up after himself. She also read to him and taught him pre-k skills such as colors. Lexi is great with kids and you can tell she loves them and is attentive to them; she’s also firm if needed. She would take him out to the park or playdates and I always felt safe with her driving him. Plus, she always let me know where they were going to be and kept me updated. My son was always so excited to see her. He even now asks about her and we still keep in touch."

It's hard to pick just one, but it would have to be when a little boy I nannied came home from the hospital with his baby sister. She was crying and he goes over to her and says "don't worry, Von-Von, Yaya (that was his nickname for me) will make everything better, just like mommy." It was so sweet, his mom and I both had tears in our eyes. She said she knew she picked the right nanny for her children.

I took classes through Pueblo community college studying early childhood education where I went to a local elementary school and worked with the preschool program and hoped to become a teacher. I grew up volunteering as a counselor at a summer camp ranging from ages 5-12. When I started at Fort Lewis, my passion for crime and society was something I wanted to connect with my studies, so I got my degree in Criminology and Justice Studies with minors in prelaw, political science and sociology and human services. I still missed working with kids though! I then became a preschool teacher which was such an amazing , special, and growing experience for me. I was able to intern at the courthouse in the morning and go to such a fun silly encouraging environment in the afternoon!
