More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Certified caregiver and K-8 teacher’s aid in 2021. Also volunteered in 2020 at a local preschool, in 2016 at a local elementary school, and a few years previous as a special needs aid for 1st graders. I have years of general nanny experience with kids ages 0-12.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing arts and crafts like painting, drawing, as well as cooking, dancing/singing, playing video/board games, etc. When outdoors, I like to go for an easy hike/walk, go to the park, ride bikes, water activities if it is warm, blow bubbles, draw with chalk, or play light sports like volleyball, soccer, football, and basketball.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is patience. I always remind myself to remain polite and calm in almost all situations throughout my life. When working with or caring for kids, it is important to maintain a good attitude so that they see how to properly handle different situations without causing other reactions/problems/harm. Their actions are a reflection of ours, so I make sure to think twice about everything before making decisions that have to deal with the children directly.
My experience with special needs children...
Back in 2021, I babysat my friend’s 2 year old son, who is a high functioning autistic child. I watched him for about 4 months.
In 2016, I also volunteered at a local preschool, where I helped in the special needs classroom. Though children with special needs can be considered more of a challenge, or require a bit of extra care, I believe in treating all children equally and kindly. In my experience, I find working with children with special needs to be very rewarding, and if given the chance, I would love to gain more knowledge and experience in this field.

The most important part about being a nanny...
When I was a teacher’s aid, I worked with kindergartners a lot. My favorite moment was being able to sit with them individually as each one read to me. It was so rewarding and sweet to be able to help them gain confidence in their skills, and have a positive attitude towards doing well in their reading.
