More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I grew up as the oldest of 8 kids and was my mom’s right hand helper in childcare, which I loved. I frequently babysat cousins and volunteered to help young moms with their kids. Recently I was blessed with my dream idea—an official babysitting job after I moved to my own apartment! I loved it so much and was so sorry when I moved to another area.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love taking kids for stroller rides or walks and exploring the delights of nature with them! Playing with them outdoors is fun.
I honor parents’ wishes as far as screen time. I do however enjoy helping kids play with real tactile tangible toys, helping them explore their own imagination, inspiring creativity and authenticity!
I love encouraging kids to help with age appropriate activities and tasks, with supervision, guidance and positive reinforcement.Seeing them ‘light up’ when they are thanked/rewarded for helping is such a great experience for both myself and the child.
I love sensory play whether that be inside or outside. Their curiosity and self-discovery is vital. Simply spending time with them and listening to their problems is an amazing thing I love to do as well!
Children are worth my time and effort. Their safety comes first all the time. A kid is impressionable and I take responsibility for my influence.

The most important part about being a nanny...
* not listed in order of importance *
Maintaining a safe environment and providing love and care is a non-negotiable.
Keeping communication lines open when mistakes are made is key.I value honest feedback because it helps me grow personally and it allows me to better serve you!
Respecting boundaries is important.
Respecting your preferred child training methods and keeping your most important values in mind is essential as I relate to your kid.
Refusing to engage in, hide or enable any child abuse is a must. As a mandated reporter I am aware of possible signs of child abuse, and I will report that. I am not, however, salivating for a chance to report the daily/minor/normal mistakes that we all make.
Being trustworthy and dependable is definitely necessary.
Providing stability and guidance for your child is also valuable and I am here to support and practice your preferred methods of training.
Every child deserves love and care and that’s what I strive to give as a nanny❣️

My experience with special needs children...
I have a sister who has autism, as well as some other extended family. I have experience teaching kids who need specialized education, which I loved.I have a unique spot an my heart just for them, and I love highlighting their strengths, helping them cope with the difficulties and appreciate the value they bring to the world.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love watching kids discover that splashing in water is exciting (I would never leave them alone in water without me close to their side). I love the little quirky behaviors and laughing alongside a kid about some antic they did! Hearing them discover their voice is sooo cute and amazing. It is rewarding to to teach a yet-not-talking-kid some simple sign language to cut down on some of the frustration they can experience. Of course, verbal communication is a healthy milestone to achieve as well.
Simply rocking a newborn to sleep while I feed them with a bottle is my most favorite nanny moment ever! (Or putting them down for naps as they get older)Their simple trust in me drives home the fact that I must be trustworthy. A kid needs trusted adults in their lives! Being that person for them is an awe-some responsibility.
Reading stories or storytelling are more favorite moments. It’s a time i get to especially connect with them on their level.( Provided they like story time. 😊)
