Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Aside from having my own child who is 4 now, I have been a nanny for 4 other families. My responsibilites include waking the child/children up for school if they go to school. And helping the child with homework when they come back. For younger children, the day consists of, waking them up for breakfast, do fun activities, cooking their meals, nap times, and I usually clean up the house before the parent/ parents comes back home.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to go on walks, go to the park, to the movie theatre with the children. I also love trips to the grocery store,mall and to the library. I can take them out for ice cream or to other kids events, as well as swimming, picnics and water parks.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing is to be patient with the children I take care of. All children are different, some require more patients. Realizing it may not be easy for them at first and that they have to get used to a new person taking care of them. Children need patience and attention most.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have experience with special needs children but I am trying to gain some experience with them. My own daughter is also high risk for autism.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite Is when the kids run up to hug me in the mornings. It lets me know that they like me and that we're growing a closer bond.
