I’ve worked at two daycares, where I primarily cared for infants and toddlers—gaining valuable experience in early childhood development, maintaining routines, and providing a safe, loving environment for little ones to thrive. I also worked at the YMCA, where I led activities and supervised elementary-aged children, helping them stay active, engaged, and supported after school.

In addition to my professional experience, I’ve been babysitting since I was 13, and caring for kids has always come naturally to me.

I love incorporating arts and crafts like painting and collage-making to spark creativity, and I organize sensory play sessions using playdough and sensory bins to enhance tactile skills. I also enjoy reading and interactive storytelling to boost language development, along with music and movement activities such as singing, dancing, and playing simple instruments to build rhythm and coordination. Additionally, outdoor exploration, puzzles, and role-playing games are all part of my approach to support cognitive, social, and motor skills in fun, engaging ways.

My experience with special needs children...

I gained valuable exposure to working with special needs children through opportunities at my previous high school. My mother worked in the special needs room, and I frequently helped out in her class, which allowed me to observe and participate in the supportive, inclusive environment she created. Additionally, I took part in unified sports programs that brought together students of all abilities, reinforcing the values of teamwork, empathy, and respect. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the unique challenges and strengths of special needs children, and they continue to inspire my commitment to fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment for all kids.
