A little bit about me

I am 35 years old, married and have two kiddos. I love working with kids and it’s been a life long calling for me! I’m from Oklahoma but have lived in the Nashville area for 5 years. I started babysitting at age 13, have worked in several church Sunday classes and as a preschool teacher for several years. I have also been on staff as a children's director for the last 10 years. Most recently, I was a kindergarten teacher at a charter school in Nashville for 2 years. I have my associates degree in Early Childhood Education and am passionate about children's development! I love how children learn through play and their environment. My favorite style of learning is Reggio Emilia and Montessori. I believe in the power of kindness and patience with little ones and have throughly enjoyed my career in working with kiddos!

I enjoy being outside, going on walks and love animals. I was raised with horses, dog, chickens and ducks. I'm a big Beatles and Radiohead fan!

I was a kindergarten teacher from [phone number hidden], was a preschool teacher for several years with the infants and the toddler classes. I have been a volunteer teacher for church classes for over a decade and am currently a kids pastor for ages birth through high school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing outside, talking walks, painting, coloring, counting and learning colors through play and reading book are some of the fun activities that can be done at home with kids. Singing songs is a must! :) I love going to story time at the library once a week, if possible or applicable of course.
