Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked as a SpEd aide in a fifth grade class room this past school year with exceptional children, I have grown and learned SO much through this position and absolutely adore these kiddos. While pursuing my degree in elementary education I treasure all the experiences with the kids and building those relationships and creating fun memories!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I absolutely LOVE arts and crafts as well as baking. Art is something I always do with the kiddos, it’s engaging and educational when it’s applied to something. I believe that most kids just want to be involved with the tasks you’re doing and be apart of what’s happening! Food prep and baking being one of those things, it’s a great learning activity while also being fun!
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for children with autism, Down syndrome, learning disabilities, etc. Through nannying and my cohort as a SpEd Aide I have TONS of compassion and care for our special needs kiddos!! I am well equipped with lots of patience and understanding each child’s individual needs and making sure I learn and communicate with parents to make sure they’re receiving everything they need to feel safe and happy!
