There are so many important things to being a nanny. The continuation of care when the parents are absent providing a safe environment that tends to the child’s needs. But it’s more than that to me. I hope to bring joy to their life and leave an impact on those I care for knowing that they are loved dearly.

Oh goodness there are sooo many. But most recently with the family I nannied for in Birmingham, AL I helped with their first born at 3 months till he turned 2 and we have a bond unlike any other. When he finally said my name he pronounced it like “Alsyn” and that became the “A” word and if he heard my name he would demand I be over with him and I don’t think I have ever seen a child smile so bright/get so excited to see me when I entered the room. (I was just as equally excited).
