I nannied for a family before I went to college and spent my days with a baby girl who was 7 months old when I started. I came back to visit after I went away for college and the little girl was about 18 months old. When she saw me, she smiled right away, remembered my name, and said "Baby?" and I thought "Wow, do I look pregnant?" Then, after conversing with her mom, we realized that she was saying that I was her babysitter. We laughed and played together all afternoon and I realized that I left an imprint on her life almost as much as she affected mine. It doesn't sound like much but knowing that I was an important person in her development was so heartwarming.
