A little bit about me

Hi,

My name is Allison, I am a mother of two (6 and 12). I started doing childcare when I was 12 years old. I have been a nanny and a babysitter for many families over the years. I have also raised two children of my own and am well aware of the level of care it takes to make sure they are provided for emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I am currently attending university classes online and am majoring in psychology. Please feel free to ask me anything, I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
I am available from 8-8:15AM until 5PM Monday-Friday. I can be available later occasionally if needed. I can be available on the weekends as well as overnights with prior discussion.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think one of the most important things to remember as a nanny is that it is a privilege to be trusted with someone else's child. You must not take that privilege lightly. It is also important to realize that you are also now in a teaching role and must lead by example. However, you are not only a teacher, you become that child's safe space while their parents are away, you should make sure you are living up to that privilege.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think some of my favorite moments have been parents getting home to find a peacefully sleeping or happy baby and seeing the amount of relief that brings them. It's hard as a parent to trust someone with your most precious gift, I do my best to bring comfort to the child/children and the parents so everyone feels safe.
