Hi, I’m Alli!

I am 25 years old with 10 years of experience in childcare and disability support, including 4 years as a paid paraeducator in an elementary MSD (Moderate/Severe Disabilities) classroom.

I am open to working with both children and adults with disabilities. I am currently located in Lexington, KY, but am actively planning this transition and open to relocating for the right long-term fit!

I am proud of the work I did in the school system, and I’m excited to transition into a more individualized care role.

-Experience with IEPs, BIPs, AACs

More About Me

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

One of my favorite things to do with children are sensory center boxes! These allow for a range of imaginative play and discovery while also helping them engage with different or new sensory inputs. I also very much enjoy putting together games/puzzles, like a nature scavenger hunt, for example. My time in special education has made me well-rounded in creating activities that are engaging for the children that provide educational, sensory, and/or emotional learning simultaneously.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making connections with the children you care for. Everyone values and thrives in genuine human connection, and I look to create relationships every step that I can.

My experience with special needs children...

I've cared for a range of disabilities amongst different ages, including both children and adults. I am very familiar in collaborating with OT, PT, ABA, SLPs, and educators. I am also trained in G-tube feedings, safe transfer methods, and AAC device use.

I value enhancing independence where possible and assisting where needed while helping each individual grow!
