More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
-special olympics volunteer
-babysitting three different families children of various ages.
-growing up first-hand with children of different ages and various intellectual and developmental capabilities. I would be helping with taking kids to school and family events, baths, eating, etc to help around the house.
-My brother is 26 years old and is fully dependent due to his four-year-old level capabilities and I have grown up helping him use the restroom and clean himself, take showers, shave, feed him his medication, etc.
-I have a step-son who is turning five in a little over two weeks. My boyfriend and I split custody with his mom 50/50 and we try our best to make sure he knows he is loved!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
We do experiments with my step son since that’s what he is in to but every child is different! I form to the child’s likes and dislikes while keeping in mind what is healthy and proactive for them to do! For example, my stepson, my boyfriend and I are doing a crystal growing lab experiment tomorrow since he loves how rocks and geodes look!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure your child is safe, heard, and cared for as my own. I think open communication with the parents is also needed since I’m sure you’ll want to know what your little ones are up to since they’ll probably respond with “I don’t remember what I did today.” Or is that just my forgetful hooligan?
My experience with special needs children...
My brother with Down Syndrome and Autism who is at a four-year-old intellectual level. My niece with high functioning Autism. A cousin with severe Autism who presented with behavioral problems and severe sensory problems stemming from her Autism. All ends of the spectrum welcomed! I also volunteered quite a bit with the special olympics. I frequently would be the score keeper for the bowlers and cheer them on!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite thing about kids in general is learning their individual talents and interests and watching them gleam with joy as they get to indulge in that task or talk about that thing they love! We have this task of shaping the minds of future generations and I think they take on this task teaching us things as well. How to slow down and take in the moment for what it is instead of what we think it should or could be.
