Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing activities that let kids be creative and curious. Arts and crafts are one of my favorites, such as, drawing, painting, and making things together. I find it to be such a fun way to let their imagination shine as making a connection with the child. I also enjoy outdoor activities like playing games, going for walks, outdoor sports or exploring nature. I like that it keeps children away from screens and helps to keep them engaged. I love pretend play where we can create stories, different scenarios, and just have fun together. I think the best moments come from letting kids feel encouraged, engaged, and free to be themselves.
My experience with special needs children...
I grew up with a sibling who has special needs that experience has shaped my understanding, patience, and compassion for others. From a young age, I learned the importance of empathy, adaptability, and meeting someone where they’re at. That experience has made me comfortable supporting children with different abilities, communication styles, and needs. I truly value creating a safe, encouraging environment where every child feels understood, respected, and supported for who they are. I am always happy and willing to learn more in every aspect, especially with children who are differently abled.
