Hi! My name is Alora. I'm passionate about providing safe, fun, and nurturing care for children of all ages. I have almost 10 years of experience caring for children, with my most recent role as a teacher at a childcare center at MCAGCC Twentynine Palms. I'm a mom to a 2-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son, which has given me even more hands-on experience and insight into the needs of little ones.
I'm CPR and First Aid certified, and I pride myself on creating a positive environment where kids feel safe, happy, and supported. Whether it's helping with routines, engaging in age-appropriate activities, or just being a caring presence, I'm here to make both kids and parents feel at ease. Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes working with the USMC Child & Youth Program at the 29 Palms Marine Corps Base as an Assistant Teacher, along with previous daycare experience caring for children of varying ages and developmental stages. In these roles, I helped supervise children, assisted with classroom activities and daily routines, supported lead teachers, maintained a safe and positive environment, and encouraged social, emotional, and educational growth. I also assisted with activity planning, conflict resolution, meal and snack times, nap routines, and ensuring children stayed engaged in age-appropriate activities throughout the day.

In addition, I have several years of babysitting experience caring for children for family, friends, and military families. My responsibilities included preparing meals and snacks, helping with homework, maintaining bedtime routines, organizing creative activities, and providing dependable, patient, and attentive care.

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, supportive, and trustworthy environment where children feel comfortable, cared for, and encouraged to be themselves. I believe it is important to build strong relationships not only with the children, but also with the parents through communication, reliability, and consistency. Being a nanny is more than just supervising children — it is about helping support their growth, emotional well-being, confidence, and daily development while making sure they feel valued, understood, and safe.

My experience with special needs children is currently minimal, but I am very open to learning more and gaining additional experience. I am patient, compassionate, adaptable, and committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for every child. I understand that every child has different needs, routines, and ways of communicating, and I am always willing to listen, learn, and follow parents’ guidance to provide the best care possible. The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite part about being a nanny is getting to watch children grow, learn, and blossom into their own unique personalities. I love seeing their confidence build over time, watching them reach new milestones, discover new interests, and become more independent. It is incredibly rewarding to be someone they feel safe and comfortable around while also being able to support their development, creativity, and individuality. Seeing children learn new things, express themselves, and develop into their own little person is one of the most meaningful and fulfilling parts of childcare for me.
