Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I babysat since I was a kid up to this day. So many times I babysat for days or weeks at a time when my aunties/uncles went out of town. I’m real good with kids and great at keeping house clean, laundry and cooking.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Read books, sing with the little ones, bake cookies and cake, clean house with them, go to the park, take walks, keep them busy with anything they’ll enjoy doing.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I like a set schedule, a normal routine, I make sure I know all emergency contacts, do’s and don’ts, what’s appropriate to do and have for snacks, any known allergies, medication and things I need to be cautious about. I like to know what the child(ren) like to do and don’t, and their house rules and such.
My experience with special needs children...
I’m a fast learner and had some experience in the past. I took some Early Childhood classes.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I’ve had many. Well I have 3 older kids and 3 younger ones. [phone number hidden] and 4. 19 and 4 years are adopted but I’m living with my 19 year old. Favorite moments with my boys who are 16 & 8; when I cooked and made Eskimo ice cream their expressions would be (16) “mom, why don’t you open a restaurant?” (8) mom you’re the best cook and akutaq maker in the world! My 19 and 18 years old girls love my cooking and they ask me exactly what and how I prepare them and how I cook them. My 6 year old loves doing our nails and her hair together. My nieces and nephews love having me around because I take them out on walks or to the park or play outside. Babies and toddlers love having me read to them or playing with them. Just interacting with them they enjoy.
