I have my own reliable vehicle, but it is a smart car and not suitable for transporting children.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

One of my very first jobs was as a live-in nanny to 3 children ages 9-13. We were pretty busy, but always found time to have fun. They are now well into adulthood. For many years I volunteered at elementary school for my daughter, and I helped with "kid round up" and swim meets the Marlins Swim Club then at the CF Campus. I had a successful daughter in the program, and who is now 25. I've always been a highly visible safe place for kids if they've lost their way both physically and emotionally, which has enabled me to make sure they are fine, inform their parents what the current status is, then blend into the background again.

Museums, art, crafts, classes, projects, cooking, parks, chilling, computer, reading, pretty much anything kid centered.

Making sure the children are safe, comfortable and nurtured, no matter what the activity.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked for years with social workers who direct care for special needs children, but my experience is mostly with ADHD, stuttering, dyslexia, and mild learning delays.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Sharing the Beluga whales at a favorite zoo with the kids I was a nanny to. We saved a special afternoon to go to into town to the zoo, then spent most of the time playing with the Belugas downstairs in the big window. It was a special moment for all of us.
