Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have 4 nephews that range from ages 7-14 that have babysat whenever my brother has needed since the boys were just baby’s. I have volunteered at my school and church’s daycare 3 years in a row! I have also watched my 4 cousins, ages 6 months-1.5 years old for 9 days while their parents were out of state on vacation!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Walks! This is something so simple that any age loves! This gives them the opportunity to explore new scenarios and also helps them go down for nap and bed time easier! Playgrounds are another favorite of mine to! But in reality I will adjust to the child’s choosing of activities!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Creating a bond with the child and family! This creates for a better experience for the child and will make it easier on the babysitter and parents in the long run!
My experience with special needs children...
I am going into my sophomore year of college studying Psychology. My plan is to attend graduate school to study pediatric speech language pathology! My sister, who was born with a learning disability, and cousins with autism really inspired me to study that field of education!
