I’m Amanda, I currently work in respite care working as a caregiver for children and adults with special needs, I’ve been doing respite for 5 years along side with some ABA, dog grooming and senior care. I love caring for all, animals and people, little or big. I’m a 27 years old, female, who’s packed with a lot of fun and responsibility. I love doing arts and crafts and listening to music. i enjoy spending time in the sun doing chalk art or blowing bubbles. I’m also great with helping get homework done and getting ready for bed. Also, I can do meal prep or laundry if needed and I can run errands or pick up the kids from school for you. I’ve worked with all ages from newborns to kids in grade school all the way up to seniors. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve been doing respite care, caring for special needs kids for 5 years. I also have some experience in ABA. I’ve worked with children, adults and seniors. I have finished a preschool program back in 2015, I did the program for 2 years where I also got to work with elementary school kids from kindergarten to 3rd grade. I’ve worked with all ages from babies to young adults in their 20s to seniors reaching the age of 96. I’ve been told I’m great with kids and I love working with them. I think I’d be a great fit for you and your family. I’ve done everything from play time, meal prep, bath time and homework.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and crafts such as painting and coloring, blowing bubbles, chalk art, story telling, doing science experiments like making slime, playing bored games such as checkers or candy land, playing card games like go fish, watching Disney movies.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Connecting with the kids. I believe if you can have a strong connection and bond with the kids you work with it makes the days for not only me but for the kids as well, so much more enjoyable.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve worked with all ages from babies to young adults in their 20s doing things from school work and work books to fun activities like bubbles, chalk art, gardening, story telling and more! I’ve helped with meal prep, errands and light housekeeping like laundry, dishes and cleaning around the house. I’ve been doing respite care for 5 years with a little experience in ABA therapy.
