A little bit about me

Most recently, I was a nanny for identical twins starting at 4 mo until they were 17 mo and I had one other nanny job for 19 months while my fiance attends medical school. I have been a preschool teacher for years in 4 month to 5 year old classrooms as well as a Sunday school teacher in older classrooms. I am currently getting a degree in Early Childhood Education and I have the Florida equivalent to the CDA. I love babysitting and consider myself to be an active and educational child expert. I am CPR certified and great with the little ones. I love doing arts and crafts as well as anything outside. I'm 100% comfortable with 0 screen time. I am positive and upbeat. I'm available full time.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have plenty of experience in childcare stemming from first being a Sunday school teacher to a group of 5 and 6 year old children when I was a senior at Martin County High School. That's beside the extra babysitting. After achieving several of my B.S. in Early Childhood Education and Development, I started work in my town at a few preschools before a position at my temple's (where I was a Sunday school teacher) preschool and I became a lead teacher to the 12mo-24mo program. I loved this job but I eventually met the man of my dreams and followed him through medical school which is when I started nannying. I love nannying more than any jobI
I also have experience as a children's entertainer. I'm a party clown who can face paint and balloon twist. I often have to hold the attention of a dozen or so children at a time doing games or entertaining with my balloon art.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part is having fun but also knowing when to be present as the adult in the room. I think that and then also a foundation layer of education (earning my FCCPC) and experience, both in the childcare facilities and inhome experiences are important to have.

My experience with special needs children...

I don't actually have had any jobs that have dealt with special needs. I do, however, have experience with babies. I have developed a great amount of patience with children and even my fiance! I know it's my job to make each individual safe and also feel safe.
