One of my favorite things to do with children is arts and crafts, I love helping them paint and practice their fine motor skills by using glue and safety scissors. The kids always light up and are so proud of what they create. I also believe it's very important for kids to experience and enjoy nature, I ensure any child I work with will get plenty of outdoor playtime and exercise.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for multiple kids that were diagnosed with ADHD and/or autism. These kids could exhibit difficult behavior, emotions, and aggression but I utilized different approaches and learned what worked best with each one and what would make them feel the safest and most comfortable.
