More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve worked with Busy Bees babysitting agency, caring for children with special needs, infants, toddlers, and school-age kids. I’m also a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), which helps me provide compassionate, safety-focused care—especially for children with medical or developmental needs. I’ve volunteered at local family shelters and church daycares, and regularly help families in my community with childcare support, tutoring, and developmental play. My background in child psychology gives me an extra edge in understanding children’s emotional and behavioral needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing a mix of fun and enriching activities with children! Indoors, we enjoy storytime, singing, imaginative play, sensory bins, crafts, and learning games that support emotional and cognitive growth. Outdoors, I love taking nature walks, doing scavenger hunts, sidewalk chalk art, dancing, and playing fun games that keep kids active and engaged. I always tailor activities to the child’s age, interests, and developmental needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and consistent space where a child feels seen, supported, and free to be themselves. I care deeply about emotional development and making sure every child I work with feels valued, protected, and uplifted. Being a nanny isn’t just a job to me—it’s a calling to help children grow into confident, kind, and capable human beings.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve cared for children with a range of special needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech delays, visual impairments, and sensory processing challenges. One of the children I currently care for is Nick, a 12-year-old who is nonverbal and partially blind. I support him through music, routine, gentle redirection, and sensory-safe play. I also have experience with children who have behavioral outbursts, developmental delays, and emotional regulation needs. Patience, structure, and love are at the core of my approach.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was with Nick, a nonverbal and partially blind child I care for. Despite his challenges, he formed a deep bond with me—so much so that he began showing clear signs of comfort and preference for me over others. He lights up when I arrive, seeks me out for reassurance, and responds with joy to our routines. Earning his trust has been one of the most beautiful and rewarding parts of my nanny journey.
