I think the most important thing about taking care of children in any general sense is the impact and feelings you give them. You can do your job and the kid(s) will be fine, but you aren't memorable or important or give them a spark. I want the kids I watch to think of me in moments of inspiration or sadness and think, she said or did this and it will change so much positively.
