The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is listening. Often times children have difficulty communicating. Listening and being attentive to the non verbals is most important. Validating how the child feels and working collectively with the child to reach their needs or goals is definitely a top priority.

I have limited experience with special needs children. However I am happy to learn and adapt if needed.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I used to be a child actress so I am well versed in the land of make believe! One moment I shared with a child I watched in the past was "The Floor is Lava". This was a game we made up together where we had to innovate and find new ways to travel outside of the floor to get to safety. I truly enjoyed the child's laughter and creativity. Exploring the mind of a child is so fascinating. They are so free willed and through with their fantasies so I would say this was my favorite moment.
