"Amelia became a part of our family when she took care of our 6-month-old son. She made me so much more comfortable returning to work after my maternity leave ended because I knew my son was in caring, competent hands.
Amelia is smart, responsible, diligent and engaged. She's a great communicator and listener, and she's very flexible about adapting to family and children's different needs. She engaged our son in play that supported his physical and cognitive development. She was loving, kind and and affectionate with him. She took him for walks, made him healthy snacks, brought him to the beach and supervised play dates.
We have been lucky to continue our relationship with Amelia even after moving to another state. When we return to the area to visit family, we try to arrange for Amelia to take care of our son so they can reconnect and because she's such a great caretaker.
Amelia is a wonderful nanny and I can't recommend her more highly for any caretaking position!"

The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is to be sure a child feels comfortable and safe to be themselves and explore who they are; to promote a safe space for learning and having new experiences. I would never want a child to feel like they can't make mistakes out of fear of embarrassment or shame. I would want them to be able to explore the world freely! All the while, making sure they are physically safe and have a caring nanny who can guide them through new experiences.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with non-verbal children, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, genetic syndromes, and Down Syndrome.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when the baby I was nannying learned how to wave. It lit up my heart and made me so happy every time he waved!
