In my opinion, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe space for the child/children. For many children, being away from their parents can be a daunting experience, often because it is unfamiliar. My goal as a babysitter is to ensure that the children I am with understand that I am there to take care of them and keep them safe. I am not their parents, but I care about them and enjoy stepping in as a nurturing figure and someone they can have fun with!
