I have a taken care of kids here and in several other states but I'm from Iowa. And have mostly taken care of friends kids, families kids and my job is taking care of adults with disabilities physical and mental.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Going to libraries, parks. I always have bubbles and seasonal fun things on my person any given time. I like reading and singing with kids and will play with them with their toys. I'm not big on tv but i do love movies. Making up games that tailor to the; interests, ages and stages of the children is fun.

When three kids i watched were into those make a cake and then get judged shows. And i gave them a challenge to make the best mud pie outside, and showed them the areas where they could gather materials and offered up fake flowers and pie tins i got from good will and dollar tree and let them go. They had a great time and noone complained about getting pie off of them when it was bath time and the winners in each category got to have a mini speech about what they were gonna be when they grew up. It was really sweet to see how they lit up when they got the pine cone microphone and got to say something. Kids got big imaginations and i love seeing them used in positive ways.
