A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Amie, I have been working with children for at least 30 years now. I usually start when they are an infant and stay until a nanny is no longer needed. Most jobs I’ve been at for five years with the exception of two jobs that I’ve been at for seven years. Three of my jobs have been working with twins starred in when they were three month old. I love working with children. I am a very neat and organized person, and I like to keep busy. During nap time I am willing to do the dishes fold laundry, or anything else that needs to be done. And you can pretty much guarantee that all the toys we play with during the day, will be cleaned up before you come home. I like to follow the developmental skills for children in their age range. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked as an infant and toddler teacher at a daycare center for years and became the assistant Director. Then I decided I would like to work more one on one or two on one with children and became a nanny about 20 years ago. Three of the jobs I have had I have been working with twins starting at three months old. I like to get a job when the child is an infant and stay for as long as they need a nanny, most jobs I have been at for 5 to 7 years, depending on if the parents have had a second child while I was there or not. I am a very neat and organized person and love to follow the developmental skills for your child age group and work on those skills with your child. And when you come home from work at the end of the day, you can pretty much guarantee any toys, etc. that we have taken out during the day will all be put away and your house will look clean and neat.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing many activities with children depending on their age, whether it be stacking blocks or coloring or getting crazy and dancing to music.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being a nanny is to obviously keep the child or children safe. And making sure that they get on some kind of schedule as far as Eden and nap in and playtime etc. it’s important to keep them busy and occupied

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the best part of being a nanny is watching the children, go from being able to sit up to crawling to standing and taking those first steps. I also really love when they say my name for the first time.
