A little bit about me

I'm an open-hearted, agreeable, creative caregiver for the older kiddos. I'm a mom and grandmother with years of experience loving on children.

I homeschooled our 6 children, and taught in our coop for many years. I was a career nanny until we began our own family.

My approach to childcare is rooted in nurturing. I believe every child is special. I build a trusting relationship by affirming & getting to know them. Children trust me quickly and easily.

I believe in patience, calmness, light heartedness, while also being their leader so they can feel secure.

I enjoy going on walks or taking the children to the park. I love pool and water activities if there is access to a pool and if it's age appropriate. (I have taught many children how to swim.)

I do light housekeeping, keep the kitchen clean, organize children's areas, and do their laundry if you'd like.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I began caring for infants in my teens. I’ve never met a baby or child I couldn’t figure out what they needed. They trust me because I love them!

I taught Elementary and High School Language Arts as well as Public Speaking, Music Appreciation, Chorus, and Drama in our homeschool coop for many years.
I am a naturally gifted teacher and was always one of my students’ favorites.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

As far as outdoor activities, I enjoy going on walks or taking the children to the park or beach if the parents are comfortable with that. All of this depends on the age of the child and how many children I’m caring for.

Indoors I enjoy games, making cookies, karaoke, wholesome movies, whatever creative play the children enjoy.
