Hello!
My name is Amy and I am a 38 year old Medical professional and new mom of a beautiful 2 month old. I am on maternity leave and seeking extra income during this time. I have extensive childcare experience with a range from newborn to 9 years old. I am CPR certified as well as first aid certified. I have worked in two urgent care centers and am well versed with cleanliness as to keep everyone safe and happy, especially during flu season! I believe that happy children are children who are well supported in every sense. Fed, changed, engaged and keeping up with age appropriate child engagement. I am a medical assistant who worked in pediatrics. Building trust with children is important. Respecting their parents wishes while doing so, is even more important. As a mother and step mother, I would give nothing less than what I would expect for my own children. I have many letters of recommendation that I am happy to provide upon the time of an interview.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Reading books, singing and dancing, engaging in tummy time, fresh air. I believe that changing where we learn can open a child's mind. Reading a book on the grass can give them a sense of wonder that they don't experience indoors. Arts and crafts, homework help. I respect a parents schedule and am happy to follow an guide that is given to me. Nap time, specific foods, list of any allergies is something I require ahead of time. I am happy to do light clean up from our day as well as making sure any dishes are washed and can feed pets as well as start a load of laundry if you like! I am always available to send photos or text to check up throughout the day or take a face-time call if you want to say hello to your little one while you are away.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Safety. Making sure a child feels safe and confident is key. You and your child should be able to trust the person by their side while you are away. As a step mom of two older children, I had a vast learning curve with trust and now have an amazing and healthy relationship with both kids.
