More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have babysat when I was 10 years old, helping my mother with toddlers in the nursery room at our local church. Since a little girl I always loved little kids and played around and entertained them. Now currently, since 2020, I am a teacher at the Ministerio International Nueva Vida church. We teach kids about Jesus and prepare them to be the next future teachers. I help out kids ranging at the ages of 3- 12.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am currently involved in soccer, volleyball, and dance so I enjoy playing these sports with them and also putting some fun dance videos we can engage in. I love reading to them and also just hearing them communicate and talk to me about their own stories. I get involved in their own imagination. I love to create some activities to play with them and also help them with their education. I bring some fun games and activities we can play.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing to me about being a nanny is making a safe, happy, and positive envirometn where these children feel safe and happy. I enjoy building genuine connections with these children, and just creating friendships with them. I believe every child deserves patience, sweetness, support, and someone who listens to them and makes them feel seen and valued. No matter what it is were doing. Whether it be telling stories, playing games, doing crafts, watching movies, exploring their imagination, or simply talking about their day, I just truly want these children to feel happy around me.
My experience with special needs children...
The only experience I have had with special needs children has been throughout my freshman to junior and currently will continue my senior year is with special Olympics. As a volunteer in this even t, I help organize and lead recreational activities for students with special needs from various schools in the area. My responsibilities have included in assisting with soccer activities, races, volleyball games, arts and crafting coloring stations. Because I do play soccer, I often get assigned in the soccer station, where I encourage each participant, guide them through the activities, track their performance times, and celebrate their accomplishments.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Some of my favorite moments working with children are the little connections that happen along the journey. I love being the reason that a child smiles, laughs, or grows comfortably to come talk to me or give me a hug or even share something their excited about. One of the most sweetest moments truly are receiving handmade crafts from them, it just is so thoughtful and it shows they thought about me. Soo cute! I also enjoy listening to their stories and joining their imaginative ideas because its amazing to see how they view us and the world. I find it most rewarding making these children happy.
