A little bit about me

Hello all! My name is Ana and I am currently in college getting a degree in Paralegal Studies. I have babysat ever since I was 16 for family and friends. I have done date-night babysitting for a family in the Chattanooga area as well. Currently, I work in support care and have been working with all ages, but mostly a group of teenagers. I do have experience caring for all ages from newborn to elderly individuals. I am CPR, AED, and First Aid certified. I have a dog and cat who I absolutely love spending most of my time with. I have recently been pursuing photography as a hobby and am very quickly coming to love it! Now, why me? I am very passionate about making an impact on the younger generation as well as anyone requiring supportive care. I pride myself on being attentive, caring, and organized. I know what it’s like to leave the most important person in your life, under the care of someone else, therefore I would always be the provider I would want for my own family.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have various babysitting experience from 16 to now. In 2022, I worked for Hamilton County as an After school aid. I currently work in support care for all ages, including 16-17 year olds.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am very fond of puzzles! I believe it’s a great motor skill activity to do with growing minds. I will never turn down reading time. Some of my favorite books growing up were the little golden books! I really enjoy being outside, playing in the yard, going for a walk, whatever is feasible for their age and your home! In my time as an after school aid I got to pick out fun crafts for kids to do and have learned to really enjoy crafting and creating things with kiddos!

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters the most to me is when I walk in the door, the children are happy to see me. That tells me that I am positively impacting them and that they feel a sense of safety with me. There’s nothing more important than that.

My experience with special needs children...

I do have experience working with individuals with Autism, ODD, Schizophrenia, and various other intellectual disabilities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment has to be when I was babysitting the cutest twin toddler boys and we made homemade rice krispy treats. It was my first time doing so and seeing their faces light up because they got to help was so fun! That same day, we sat and read so many books and it was just so nice to see they had a fun time without needing a screen in front of them.
