The most important part about being a nanny...
Being able to get to know all the kids and families over the time
My experience with special needs children...
I have hands-on experience working with children with special needs through both professional and one-on-one caregiving roles. I completed an internship with Special Olympics DC, where I supported individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in recreational and inclusive activities.
In addition, I worked as a nanny for a child with Kabuki syndrome, providing individualized care while following the family’s routines and adapting to the child’s specific needs. This experience strengthened my patience, compassion, flexibility, and ability to create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment.
