Hello my name is Anahí (ah-nah-e), and I have hands-on experience caring for children with and without special needs. For the past 2 years, I have been the primary caregiver for my younger brother, managing all of his medical and hygiene needs. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

When spending time with children, I love coming up with creative and fun activities. Indoors, I enjoy safe painting projects, cozy movie nights, making personal mini pizzas, and even creating silly new games using the toys they already have. Outdoors, if allowed, I love pool time, bouncing on the trampoline, or simply sitting outside watching birds together. One of my favorite crafts is making cute cardboard vases filled with flowers we collect from the yard, they make great little gifts for mom and dad!

My experience with special needs children...

My personal experience with special needs children comes from caring for my two youngest siblings. My five-year-old brother has level 3 autism and is nonverbal, while my sister falls between level 1-2 and has enough personality and voice for both of them. They are completely different in every way, and I truly love it all. I’ve experienced everything from cleaning up messes (yes, even poop on the walls!) to enjoying the sweetest cuddles in bed.
