A little bit about me

Upcoming college junior who is looking for a summer position; however, can possibly extend into the school semester. I have prior experience in babysitting and have worked multiple jobs interacting with children. I am a strong advocate of being involved when it comes to children playing, and interacting with them on their level. I have my own car and am willing to do extra aspects of the job such as house cleaning. I also have experience interacting with children with learning disabilities. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a babysitter my senior year of high school. I have also been the one to care for my younger cousins during every family gathering. I have always been told I work well with children. I have held two positions that have been directly involved with children (summer camp helper and BrainCore Assistant).

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going out with children to fun places such as the park and aquarium. I'm known for being directly involved in play! In terms of indoor activities, I have helped organize crafts for younger students in high school. I also love to read! Story time is one of my favorite things to do with children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The safety of the child(ren) is my upmost priority. I will be getting certified in CPR and First Aid before the start of summer. In my perspective, the well-being of the child always needs to take priority. I also place a great emphasis on treating the child(ren) with respect. It is important to interact with them directly and respect their own thoughts and opinions as they are learning about the world around them. Of course there is a level of authority involved to ensure safety, but I am an advocate for letting children learn independence.

My experience with special needs children...

I have been involved with leading the Writing Center of my high school with the school's IMPACT program. I helped students with special needs on their papers, so I am very aware of the patience and understanding one needs when interacting with special needs children.
