A little bit about me

Hey! I'm a 17-year-old in my final year of high school. I Started babysitting around the age of 11, mostly my neighbourhood kids aged 3-9. I Resumed last year but instead I started volunteering at a daycare with ages kids up to 11 months to 12 years old. I Recently spent 6 months with a family of 4 with 1 girl and 1 boy but they moved cities so I decided to completely quit babysitting and started focusing on school and completely gave on the whole babysitting thing. But recently in my last year of school before university I had the interests to start babysitting again it truly makes me happy that I could work with kids and ensure they are taken care of. To start off id make sure to do variety of activities, from engaging games and creative projects indoors to outdoor play and exploration, ensuring a well-rounded and enjoyable experience for the children. I think that being a nanny is all about making a cozy, safe space for the kids and helping them grow in every way possible. Being responsible in every area and trying your best because at the end of the day it’s kid’s your dealing with and you need to be very responsible in order to insure trust with the parents aswell as with the little ones :)

My experience with special needs children...

So far I have only interacted and babysif for a kid with autism, It took time to adjust even though it was part time and only 2 days a week. I noticed that I had a hard time at first and was scared of messing up but in 2 months of working with the family I adapted to his ways and the family helped and taught me on how to interact and care for kids with special needs.
