I love keeping kids engaged and active, whether we’re exploring outside or getting creative indoors. On sunny days, I enjoy taking children to parks, playing outdoor games, and encouraging plenty of fresh-air fun. When it’s rainy, I like to bring the fun inside with puzzles, arts and crafts, and other hands-on projects that spark imagination and problem-solving skills. No matter the weather, I focus on activities that keep kids learning, laughing, and feeling supported.

For me, the most important part of being a nanny is truly engaging with children—listening to their thoughts, asking questions, and having meaningful conversations. I believe children thrive when they feel heard and understood, so I make it a priority to connect with them on their level. Whether we’re talking about their latest school project, a new idea they’re excited about, or simply what made them smile that day, I see every interaction as a chance to build trust, confidence, and joy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the most memorable moments in my childcare career happened while I was working as a camp counselor. A camper was bucked off her horse during a riding activity, and in that moment, it was crucial to remain calm and focused. I kept my composure, reassured her, and worked with the team to safely get her the medical attention she needed, including coordinating her transport to an ambulance. That experience reminded me how important it is for children to feel safe and supported—not just during everyday fun, but also in unexpected, high-pressure situations.
