I worked as an instructional aide in a middle school for the duration of the [phone number hidden] school year, as well as a toddler teacher at a daycare in 2019.Then I moved to Nashville where I started my nanny journey!

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most Important part of being a nanny to me is showing up everyday and loving the kids. Not everyday is the best day ever, but everyday they know Dea (that's me) will show up and love them and "play all day'" Its so important for them to know I am a safe place and a positive person in their lives.
My experience with special needs children...
I volunteered with Special Olympics for many years throughout elementary/middle and high school before becoming an a paraprofessional. This has been a privilege to be able to assist so many in their day to day lives! I am most experienced working with children with autism or down syndrome but don't shy away from anyone!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I can't really pick one! Because all of my nanny kids are so young they are always growing and ''upgrading'' as we call it, so my favorite memories are always changing as they do. I do however think it is so special to get together with past families and just know that I will always be a part of their lives!
