I am an experienced LPN that has worked with developmentally delayed children as well as in long term care. I have also worked as a substitute teacher although I must admit I cannot handle 25-30+ active children at once (I have but I have a respect for pre-school-2nd grade teachers with no assistants because bathroom breaks and recess are a challenge). I like to know a child’s preferences and interests if possible and dislikes.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Going to nearby parks, planting gardens, painting, learning activities, watching cartoons (I don’t really watch television, but for kids I’ll even sit through a kids tv show marathon), crafts, and etc.
