I enjoy taking children on walks to people watch & overall show them the little things in life that can bring them a stress free time with their sitter. A lot of children tend to be stressed whilst their parents are gone & a stranger is watching them, but I like to help them know someone trust worthy & attentive is with them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is remembering you aren’t their parent you are simply making sure they are kept for, fed & tended to. A nanny’s first priority should be the child they are looking after during those hours & nothing elze.
My experience with special needs children...
Has been very easy to adapt to, I have a mentally disabled aunt whom I’ve helped my grandmother care for since I was 8. I am now 20 years old & I still cannot express the amount of attention & help she continues to receive from me. That helped me do great work with children with special needs at rosewood academy.

Is when the children I am caring for open up to me & feel comfortable enough to be themselves & show me their interest. It turns a job into a wholesome moment that I look forward to with my own children in the future.
