In addition to my extensive background in childcare, I bring valuable experience in working with children with special needs. As a paraprofessional, I've spent dedicated time providing one-on-one support for elementary ages with autism, helping them navigate academic and social challenges with patience and understanding. I've also had the privilege of spending 3 years in a self-contained classroom, where I assisted in creating a supportive learning environment tailored to the unique needs of each student. The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my most cherished nanny moments occurred when a child I had been caring for since he was just 7 months old said my name for the first time. It was a heartwarming and bittersweet moment that truly resonated with me. His parents FaceTimed me to share the milestone as he gleefully exclaimed my name while looking at a picture of us. Witnessing his development and being a part of his journey from infancy to learning his first words was incredibly rewarding. It reminded me of the deep bond I form with the children I care for and the impact I have on their lives.
