The most important part about being a nanny...
Being reliable is definitely something I think is important! It’s a job where you’re so depended on to keep a family on schedule and help. I also think that problem solving skills are very important because it’s not a job where you have someone else there telling you what to do and when. The number one thing is patience, since children can sometimes be a handful patience is definitely the key to having mutual respect between a child and a caregiver!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment was watching a child I had looked after for a couple years “graduate” from fifth grade. He came over to his parents and I and gave me a great big hug and asked his parents if I could come to the special dinner they had planned for after. It was one of the most special things I could have been apart of! It’s so crazy to watch them grow from being little to a big step like that!
