A little bit about me

I have over 20 years of experience caring for children. I have worked as a professional Nanny and Pre-K teacher. In addition, I have worked alongside new mothers, have Postpartum Doula training, teach baby Sign Language, have cared for children with special needs, have my CNA & worked as an in-home Caregiver and Job Coach for disabled young adults.
I have also worked as a Behavioral Technician, providing one-on-one support in elementary school in the special needs class. I have experience with ADHD, ODD, & Autism. Previously, I have done a wide variety of duties, from being a mothers helper, preparing home-made baby food, driving children to lessons and appointments, & caring for children overnight while parents are traveling. I am comfortable with laundry, meal prep, caring for pets, organizing, teaching children, gardening and more!
In my free time I enjoy spending time outside in nature, photography, gardening, creating pottery, reading, and spending time with family & friends.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is working together with the family as a team. Communication is key! As a nanny I feel I am an added support to parent(s) and want to follow their lead as far as parenting style, routine, discipline, boundaries and more. (I am willing to offer ideas and suggestions if asked). A good relationship between parents and their Nanny gives their children a sense of security because their caregivers are consistent, & they know what to expect in their life at home. In the past I have kept a daily log of activities, naps, diaper changes, what the children ate and at what time, if any medication was given and at what time, etc. It helps with communication and and can be a good tool to develop a routine with infants by taking a look at their natural eating and sleeping cycles.
I have a recent background check (not from Nanny Lane as they charge me and I have one from another on-call nanny agency) that was completed April 2026, I’m also happy to share my resume and references.
