Hello! My name is Angie Buchholz. I am a special education teacher in Arlington ISD! I have a lot of experience in working with children. Aside from working in a classroom currently, I was a nanny over the summers growing up and often helped in the childcare at my home church. I also was a housekeeper/dishwasher/kids counselor at a summer camp for 2 summers.
While school is not in session, I am looking for nannying/ babysitting/ tutoring/ housecleaning/ pet sitting jobs!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am a special education teacher currently. I have nannied/babysat in the past and was a camp counselor for 2 summers.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going on walks, bike rides, going to parks and playing outside. I also enjoy boardgames, coloring and hide-n-seek. I find it fun to make inside activities outside activities. I am also able to help with homework and studying or tutoring needs!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think it’s important to try to make an impact on the child I am watching. Whether that be an older kid or a younger kid, I try my hardest to pour all my love and support into the kids that are under my supervision.
Not only is the child important but making sure the parent(s) also know that I am there to help support them as well.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a degree in special education with a focus in cognitive impairments. I currently work with preschool special education students with different types of disabilities, as well as nonverbal students! My grandfather was a special education teacher and I grew up going to his last 3 weeks of school with him in his classroom.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Technically not a nanny moment but I had a student in my class with Down syndrome who would not allow her mom to brush her hair. After talking to her mom, her mom allowed me to try first thing in the morning when she got to school and the student actually allowed me to. It became our morning routine, the student would come in and get all of her hair stuff that we kept at school and together we would do her hair every morning!
