Outside my role as a nanny, I also take care of the younger kids and babies at my church, and look after them during the week whenever their parents need me to.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I like to keep the little ones busy at all times... other than their nap time! I love to take them to the park, go out for ice cream, watch movies, finger painting and crafts, baking sweets, healthy exercise activities, story times, and much more!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important aspects about being a nanny is nurturing a child. Being able to connect on a deep level, build a safe, loving relationship and offer a stable environment and also must be respectful of the parents and their practices and honor the authority they have.
My experience with special needs children...
The little girl whom I took care of for these past couple of years is special needs and required extra and more careful attention. I was instructed by her parents on the actions to take if something were to happen, but luckily nothing serious ever took place. I took her every week to regular and pool therapy and made sure to practice her therapy at home as well as the doctors prescribed.
