The most important part about being a nanny...
Children need to know that they are valued and cared for and loved. Parents are their best source of this, but it’s nice to have someone extra come in to take care of their needs, and share the love of the family when parents have other obligations. It takes a village to raise a well rounded individual and I want to play a role in the growth of your wonderful child
My experience with special needs children...
In my teaching experiences, I have worked one-on-one with students with special needs and abilities including ADHD, PTSD, and Autism. I also babysat a wonderful little girl with Spina Bífida.
The most important part about being a nanny...
In summer, I would take the children I nannied out on nature walks around nearby designated areas. One special day, we spend hours at the park talking about the plants and animals we saw, picking up trash, making magic wands, and stomping in the creek. It was a great day for identification and conversations about the way everything works together in the natural world.
