Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I let the children lead the play! It's their hard work, though I do love to join in. But below are some activities I like to introduce to get them started.
Nature walks, trips to the mall on rainy days, trips to the park, going to the YMCA for open swim (I have a membership), scavenger hunts, building forts, open-ended art projects, building with blocks (or anything we can find!), freeze games, tag, dance parties, and dramatic play (dolls, house, etc.)
For older kids I like to introduce more structured and challenging games. Card games, board games, art projects that use more complex materials or models.
At the end of the day, it's about having fun and working their brains and muscles. If you have suggestions for things your kids like, I'd love to hear them!

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part is sharing these little life moments together. I want to make the tedious chores that detract from time with your children go away to the best of my abilities. I want you to be able to come home from work after a long day to stories of fun adventures with Ms. Anne, and not have to worry about cleaning up the messes those adventures might have caused. And I hope you'll share some funny adventures with me too.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cumulatively about 3 years working with children with special needs.
1.5 years in a Reggio Emilia special needs incorporated classroom (not inclusion- there is a smaller ratio of children with special needs to those of typical development than there are in inclusion classrooms)
6 months in a public school Kindergarten classroom
1 year as a 3 year old Assistant teacher in a preschool specializing in children with special needs- this was an inclusion classroom, where about half or more of the children had some kind of special need.
I have cared for children with autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, visual impairments, sickle cell anemia, and various gene deletions. I have experience administering medication, but as with any child I would like you to train me during an orientation day so I can best serve your child.

Babysitter Available in Cary, NC: Jayla B.
Hi! My name is Jayla Boone, and I am currently a student at North Carolina Central University majoring in Nursing with a minor in Psychology. My goal is to become a NICU or Pediatric Nurse because caring for and supporting children has always been a passion of mine.
I currently work every other weekend at a retirement community where I provide compassionate care to residents. In addition, I have several years of experience working in daycare settings, where I developed a love for helping children learn, grow, and feel safe in a nurturing environment. As someone who comes from a big family with many siblings, caring for children has been a natural part of my life for as long as I can remember. I am caring, dependable, respectful, and genuinely enjoy building meaningful connections with the families I work with. I'm not simply looking for a paycheck I'm looking to be a trusted helping hand that makes life easier for parents while providing exceptional care for their children.
