I have grown up caring for children. Almost every weekend since I was in middle school until college I have volunteered in the nursery at my church. Throughout high school I was hired several times for babysitting, and often even volunteered my evenings to babysit for parents so they could go enjoy a date night. I know how important date night is for parents, and how stressful finding a sitter and paying for it can be. So as often as I could, I liked to bless families by volunteering for child care.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love being outside! And kids do too. I like to teach using games. It’s how they learn best! Outdoor games are great to get exercise and develop gross motor skills, like kickball, climbing and tag. Bug hunting has also been a favorite, and a great way to explore nature. Indoor activities like coloring and building blocks are great for fine motor skills, and imaginary games are a fun way to promote creativity and free expression.
