A little bit about me

Hi I’m Annette! I’ve been a nanny for many years because I adore children. I have worked with every age and I especially love working with toddlers and elementary school kids, but I do love them all. I believe in lots of outside play and encouraging kids to learn about exciting subjects, make up games & fun activities, and even help me cook , if they’d like. I encourage children to be respectful towards me, just as I’m respectful towards them. So if we each communicate our needs to each other, we will always be able to resolve any conflicts that may arise. I love to help kids come up with fun activities to do together, go on walks, go swimming, and go explore new places, especially now that it’s summertime! Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as a nanny for over 25 years on/off and I love children! My fave is toddlers, but I love every age and I’m very familiar with them all & every child loves me, because I’m an amazing nanny. I have lots of recent experience with references.👶🍼👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👩‍👧🤰

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going to the park, walks, lots of structured teaching assignments together, help with homework, help with potty training, sleep training, playing with kids, going to museums, plays, musicals, movies, and always encouraging outside play and picking up after themselves, and being kind and respectful themselves and to others! Kids are the best & I love stimulating convos with them to get them to think and create ideas, dreams, games, learn languages, and talk about how they are feeling & seeing how I can help them with any emotional, physical, mental or intellectual issues. If I can’t help them, I will help find someone who can, and work all of this out with each family I’m employed by. Communication is key to a successful family/nanny relationship but it takes work on all sides, and vulnerability.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a nanny gives me the satisfaction I always wanted in having my own children, which I haven’t been able to experience. So the next best thing for me is giving of myself for families that absolutely need my loving special care & concern for their children, by trusting me with helping to create resilient little beings, full of love, strength, and kindness.

My experience with special needs children...

I have 2 nieces who are autistic and I also have worked with the developmentally challenged, ADHD, handicapped children & adults.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My fave nanny moments are when I am able to be part of kids shining & thriving in whatever capacity I can do so. This brings me tremendous joy❣️ Also looking at pics of the children looking at me admiringly makes me feel good, because these little relationships take a lot of work, but it is all SO worth it to see the results & know I helped raise beautiful, joyful, productive, talented, and kind people to give back to their parents at the end of the day, and send out into the world❣️
