I’m a college student with over five years of experience working with children. I previously worked at Busy Bee Co., where I taught cooking classes to kids ranging in age from 3 to 15. I also spent two months volunteering in Nicaragua with ILP, teaching English to children in an after school program.
I genuinely love working with children and getting to know each of them as unique individuals. My goal is always to help them learn, grow, and feel supported every step of the way.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve been working with children in various roles for over five years. I started as a summer nanny when I was 13 just over the summer. Then from ages 12 to 15, I regularly babysat for multiple families. I then worked at Busy Bee Co. for four years, where I led cooking classes for kids aged 3 to 15. Most recently, I volunteered with ILP for two months in Nicaragua, teaching English to young children.

These experiences have deepened my love for working with kids and helped me develop patience, creativity, and a passion for helping children grow and thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, being a nanny means being a stable, supportive presence in a child's life—someone they can trust and feel safe with. I’m passionate about helping children learn, grow, and develop in a positive environment. I believe that limiting screen time, following a consistent routine, and encouraging outdoor play and exploration are key to healthy development. Most of all, I value giving kids the freedom to be themselves, use their imagination, and just enjoy being kids.

My experience with special needs children...

While working at Busy Bee Co., I had the opportunity to work with children with special needs, including students with Down syndrome and children on the autism spectrum. These experiences helped me develop greater patience, adaptability, and a deeper understanding of how to support each child’s unique needs and strengths. I’m passionate about creating an inclusive, nurturing environment where all children feel valued and capable.
