The most important part about being a nanny...
To me the most important part about being a nanny is being able to create a safe, fun, and stable environment for the child or children. Being organized, detail-oriented, and punctual is key to create a stable environment. Including fun activities is also essential as I know how important is is in terms of child development & overall wellbeing. Building a good relationship with parents and remaining trust-worthy, proactive, and communicative is very important to me.
My experience with special needs children...
For over 5 years, I have been babysitting my little cousin consistently, he is autistic. I have learned a lot about his specific needs, routines, food preference, and how to best communicate with him. I love him very much and caring for him has been a big learning experience and a huge help to my aunt.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was back in 2019, I was babysitting 2 kids, sisters, one of them 2 years old, the other 10 years old. As a singer/ songwriter I was able to help the 10 year old rehearse for her recital the next day. We did vocal exercises, I made her tea, and we stayed up and practiced until she felt confident enough! It was fun and she did great at her performance the next day.
